Mary Baglio
Hi, my name is Mary Baglio and I’m very excited to be the Kindergarten teacher here at Good Shepherd Catholic Academy.
I was born and raised in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My academic career has always been rooted in the Catholic faith. I started my journey at SS. Cyril and Methodius grammar school, followed by St. John’s Prep high school and finally, St. Francis college. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Not long after, I discovered my true passion was teaching. At which time, I went back to school and graduated with a dual Masters degree in Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College. I started my teaching career employed by the DOE, working in neighboring public schools, for a number of years. It wasn’t until I had my own children that I decided Catholic school was a better fit for me. I've been at Good Shepherd now for 5 years.
My husband and I are the parents to three amazing children; who inspire, challenge and entertain us on a daily basis. I’m fortunate to have them close by, as they too attend GSCA.
