Kerrianne Stieler
I was born and raised here in Marine Park, Brooklyn. My brothers and I were lucky to attend Good Shepherd from kindergarten through eighth grade. Incredibly I met some of my closest friends here at GS who I am still happy to call friends today and that is my hope for your children as well. After leaving Good Shepherd, I went on to attend St. Saviour High School in Park Slope-go Pandas!-and then earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Loyola College in Maryland. Upon graduation, I began teaching in the Department of Education as a science teacher in the lower elementary grades. After a few years I decided to make a career change and moved on to a job in media sales and marketing with Hearst Magazines. My work there lead me to a marketing position on the board here at Good Shepherd around the same time I left my corporate job to move back in the world of education. During this transition, I obtained a Master’s Degree in both General and Special Education at Touro College. I have been back in the classroom for six years serving two years as a substitute teacher throughout neighborhood public schools. In my first year GS, I worked with many students across the grades here in the resource room position. This will be my third year working with the fourth grade teaching ELA and SS. Currently, I am married living in Rockaway with my stepson Christian and my daughter Lily who is just entering first grade here at GSCA. I am very excited to work with your children this year!
