My connection to Good Shepherd runs deep, as I and my 2 siblings attended school here along with numerous family members. There has always been a great sense of family and tradition at Good Shepherd that I hope resonates with your family too.
I am blessed to call Marine Park my home and Good Shepherd my parish. After leaving Good Shepherd, I went on to attend Saint Saviour High School and it was there I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Knowing I wanted a career in education, I started my undergrad studies at Saint Joseph’s College, Brooklyn. Upon graduation, I began working as a 1st grade teacher at PS 200 and pursuing my Master’s in Special Education.
I left work at PS 200 after 11 years just as my family started to grow. While on child care leave and quickly being blessed with 5 children, I worked for the Brooklyn Public Library running early childhood literacy programs. I also previously worked in Good Shepherd as a contracted teacher providing Title support services in reading and math.
I am very happy to be back “home” working in Good Shepherd. I hope my love for this school and the strong values it stands for are passed on to your children through engaging and nurturing school days!
