Alyssa DiBattista
My name is Alyssa DiBattista and I am a first year teacher, teaching 3rd grade here at Good Shepherd. I grew up in Rockaway Beach, New York but I attended high school at St. Edmund Prep here in Brooklyn. After I graduated high school in 2017, I attended and graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in 2021 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree, concentrating in Childhood Education (1-6) and History.
I chose to be a teacher because I love working with children. I started babysitting when I was around 14 years old and then went on to tutor; I knew early on that my purpose was to be a teacher. I love to give the kids a sense of confidence and leave them feeling successful and proud of themselves for what they’ve accomplished or overcome at the end of the day.
