Registration FAQ


Tuition is due monthly July through April. All tuition payments must be made by the specified date or a $25 late fee will be imposed. There is also a $25 fee for checks returned from the bank.

Jr. Pre-K (must turn 3 by the end of the calendar year)

  • 3 Half Days – $3,550
  • 5 Half Days – $4,350
  • 3 Full Days- $4,350
  • 5 Full Days – $5,050

Pre-K (must turn 4 by the end of the calendar year)
There is no tuition for our Pre-K as we are a part of the NYC Pre-K For All Program.

K-8

  • One Child – $5,050
  • Two Children – $8,500
  • Three Children – $11,505
  • Four Children – $13,500
  • Five Children - $15,325

  • Registration Fees: Non-refundable fee of $175 for the first child, $75 for each child thereafter, capping at $325. This only reserves a seat until July payment.
  • Development: Every family (JPK/K-8) is mandated to pay $250 towards the development of the academy, namely special programs and capital improvements. This fee must be paid by the designated week in July. Anyone who fails to pay on time will be charged a $25 late fee.
  • Material Fee: There is a $100 (per child) book fee for students in JPK. There is a $150 (per child) book fee for students in Grades K-8. This must be paid no later than August 1 or a late fee will be imposed.
  • Activities Fee: There is a $75 (per child) activities fee for students in JPK/Kindergarten through 8th grade. This helps cover the cost of extracurricular activities and must be paid no later than August 1 or a late fee will be imposed.

Partial tuition assistance is available through Futures in Education!

Financial aid is available for eligible students in grades K to 8 who attend a Catholic Academy or Parish School within the Diocese of Brooklyn. Families must meet financial eligibility requirements to be considered.

New students must submit the following:

  • Completed online registration form
  • Non-refundable $175 registration fee
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of baptismal certificate (if Catholic)
  • Record of immunizations
  • Consent to fees form

In addition to the above items, students transferring to Good Shepherd Catholic Academy must also submit:

  • Copies of current and previous report cards
  • IEP if applicable
  • Interview with the principal
  • Evaluation from previous school

GSCA provides children with on-site support including speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, SETSS and all testing accomodations/modifications.

Yes there is bussing offered to and from Good Shepherd Catholic Academy.

Yes, early drop off is available beginning at 7:30. Registration for the After School Program is $25, paid in September. After the designated date, the fee is $35. Rates for the After School Program are noted on the Registration Forms.

Yes free lunch is available for those students that qualify based on household income.

Uniforms are required for all students except those who attend our Pre-K for All program. Students in Pre-K for All may choose to wear the uniform if they wish. Uniforms can be purchased at IDEAL Uniform Store – 1816 Flatbush Avenue. Simply tell a member of the IDEAL Staff that your child attends Good Shepherd Catholic Academy, as well as the grade, and they will provide you with all that you need.
